All about the gold! Adding sparkle to stationery without the foil print cost

If you've started looking at your wedding stationery the chances are foil printed designs have caught your eye and I'm sure the price has also made you double look too. Yes foiling looks fabulous but it does come with a little bit of a price tag.

This post is a little guide on how to get some metallic sparkle in your invites whiles keeping them classy and fitting anyone budget.

Shimmery paper

If you go for standard print you can then say hello to a whole range of papers, more about that here, but let's talk about two special papers which add a subtle sparkle to your designs:

Ice gold paper: This bright ice white paper is infused with pleasing tones of pale gold. It is a coated 300gsm paper, so printed inks stand out and colours take on a shimmery hue. A beautiful paper which adds a subtle sparkle to your stationery.

Pearl oyster paper: Like the Ice Gold paper but with warmer tones of freshwater pearls, this beautiful 300gsm shimmering paper turns up the wow factor on wedding stationery.

Wax seal in metallic tones

Why would you not want to have a personalised wax seal to set off your stationery either on used on your envelope or over a belly band or ribbon? We make the stamps so you can have your initials in any font you like or we also have a range of pre-designed stamps. Both options come in a lot of different colours but our fav ones to add some golden or metallic tones to your stationery are:

Antique gold

9ct gold

Rose Gold

Ivory

Copper

Bronze

Silver

and Peach Champagne.

Golden ribbon belly bands

I love this golden sheer ribbon, it looks so luxurious and comes in lots of different thicknesses and colours which can be used for belly bands or as added decoration. Add a wax seal to hold in place or fasten at the back of the card. This also looks fab on table decorations.

Golden envelopes

What do couples see first when they get your save the dates or invites through the door? Yep the envelope...this has to be the easiest and cheapest way to add a bit of bling to your invites. Team it with printed addresses and your mail will look fit for a queen.

Eyelets

Eyelets look super cute! You can use them to attach two different types of paper for your invites and they add an extra special touch while adding the golden tones you want. Eyelets come in gold, copper, rose gold and black.

Just getting your main invite foiled and all other cards standard printed

This has to be one of my favourite designs I've made so far and if you look closely you'll notice we only did the main invite in foil print to save on costs. This way you're still getting your foil and having a design that flows the whole way across the suit.
